An amazing turnout for the first fundraising effort of The Small Monsters Project
A gloomy, cold day did nothing to hamper the enthusiasm of the almost 80 riders who showed up for The Ride for Resilience. As the time ticked closer to 9:00am, more and more freewheels filled the air as the 2nd block of Clement Street filled up. Clicking shoes, slaps of pedals and “hello’s” set a great scene before Ben gave the reason for the ride.
“In 2016, I had a TBI and felt that there weren’t the resources or education that I needed. Everyone here has supported changing that. The support today is going to provide education and resources to those who’ve suffered a TBI.” -Ben
After staggering the roll-out, we went across the bridge to Hawk Hill and down into the headlands.

The route was designed to let people go their own pace, with the climbs up Bobcat and Coastal View Trail pushing just about everyone to the limit. Just before the high point of the day, we were treated to a real, live Bobcat sighting! After a quick jumping photo, we set off in search of snacks.
Ornot provided a fully stocked rest area with doughnuts, drinks and snacks to celebrate finishing the dirt before heading back to San Francisco through Sausalito.
Doughnuts being the theme, we finished the ride at Ornot for some more round goodness as well as coffee, hangouts, and stories from an awesome ride together.
